I recently watched this TedX Talk by Anna Lee, Direction of Education at Meadows Montessori in Frederick, MD. I particularly liked her points (beginning about 8:30) talking about the key elements of fostering a love of learning. Her comments on the uninterrupted work cycle, with its intention of allowing children to to focus and concentrate on something that is of interest to them, and the results of disturbing this work time, are fantastic.
